Oasis Haiti was created in June 2016 with the construction of a home able to host abandoned children. After 3 months of construction, we finally welcomed our first 8 kids on August 6, 2016 in our Oasis Home for Kids.
It has been an exciting but very sobering experience. Most of our kids were sick and unschooled when they arrived. That’s the sad reality for children living in Haiti. It is the poorest country in our hemisphere with unemployment rates at 70% with 100,000 orphans and over 300,000 restavek (child servants) with more than 50% of them never attending school.
With your help we can continue to impact the lives of Haitian children. We have already seen the benefit of providing a safe space, food, medical attention, and schooling. We need your help to continue to care for these children.
